It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a team that has achieved everything.

That it took as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

In the end, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Then best known as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her debut and seven international trophies have come from 10 tries across formats.

"The possibility to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was out her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this championship should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
