Certain factions on the left and right who offer only discontent: The government is proceeding with the job of economic renewal.

During the recent fiscal announcement, the correct decisions were taken for Britain, lowering power bills with savings of £150 on utilities, safeguarding the health service and addressing the issue of youth deprivation by eliminating the two-child cap. Measures were also taken that the income generated through taxes was done equitably, with each person chipping in but those with the largest means contributing their fair share.

Due to the decisions enacted, the budget fostered greater economic stability, curbing inflationary pressures and government bond yields. This is crucial for defending our public services, when one pound in every ten expended by government goes on loan repayments.

Building on Economic Foundations

The announcement strengthens the action we have already taken to boost financial conditions: allocating £120 billion in additional funding in such things as transportation and power infrastructure; implementing major regulatory changes in a generation to support developers, not obstructionists; advocating for the growth of Heathrow and Gatwick; and establishing trading partnerships with the EU, India and the US.

Collectively, these have allowed us to exceed our growth forecasts.

Renewing Our Nation

As I set out at the party conference, the government’s purpose is precisely the renewal of our economy, our communities and our state. Via these methods, we will end decline and rebuild trust in our country.

We will challenge those on the political extremes who only offer dissatisfaction and whose approach would lead to additional deterioration. Let me be clear, ramping up deficit spending or reimposing spending cuts – that is the approach of deterioration and I cannot endorse it.

An Extensive Expansion Agenda

Through remarks coming soon, I will place the budget in context within the broader commercial rejuvenation on which the government will be judged at the end of this parliament.

To accomplish the nationwide rejuvenation we seek, we must do more to stimulate expansion, to tackle inactivity among young people and to aim for stronger worldwide collaboration with our trading partners.

Administrative Streamlining Program

Our expansion agenda will include a reinforced attention on sweeping away unnecessary regulation. Often it has been those on the left who have favored regulation, but there is nothing progressive in regulations which only function to boost the cost of living for the poorest, to slow down economic growth unnecessarily, or prevent a Labour government achieving its aims.

This is the reason I am asking the business secretary to address the category of excessive additions and unnecessary red tape that increase expenses and obstruct our industrial strategy.

Benefits System Overhaul

Economic renewal also demands that we must continue to reform the welfare state. We assumed control of a dysfunctional apparatus that resulted in impoverished youth going hungry and which discarded youth as too sick to work.

We cannot tolerate either part of that failing Tory system. Hence the reason we will do more to help young people achieve their potential.

Since when individuals are overlooked in your early career, if you are denied the assistance you need to address psychological challenges, or if you are merely dismissed because you are experiencing cognitive variations or handicaps, then it can trap you in a cycle of joblessness and neediness for decades.

This imposes financial burdens, is bad for our productivity, but far more significantly, it removes potential and overlooks capability. Any progressive administration worthy of the name should not overlook it.

This is the reason we have commissioned former health secretary to make actionable suggestions to help young people with medical issues obtain employment, training or education – guaranteeing they receive assistance to thrive and not sidelined.

International Trade Enhancement

Ultimately, we must take further action to help our businesses engage in worldwide exchange. There is no credible economic vision for Britain that does not place us as a welcoming, business-oriented country.

We must confront the reality that the botched Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. You do not need to have a PhD in economics to know that erecting unnecessary trade barriers with your biggest trading partner will hurt growth and raise the cost of living.

So one element of our economic renewal will be continuing to move towards a enhanced business association with the EU. If we can get cheaper food, boost growth and create jobs by having a enhanced association with European nations, we should.

A Substantial Strategy for Significant Challenges

A financial plan founded on equitable decisions for Britain must be backed up with a determination to achieve the commercial rejuvenation that the country needs.

Through implementing a substantial, courageous extended strategy, not a set of quick fixes, we will rejuvenate the country. We need to transform once more a substantial population, with a important leadership, able collectively to undertake challenging tasks to regain control of our future.

Through maintaining a distinct purpose to renew our economy, our communities and our state, we will implement the transformation we pledged – and then be judged on it at the next election.
