Salah Issues Regret to Liverpool Dressing Room, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad following the controversy from his televised remarks.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a European match after making accusations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”
The manager has refused to comment publicly on whether he was apologised to from the player.
Looking Ahead
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and it was business as usual,” he continued.
He also implied that a teammate fighting for a place is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s concerning.”
Positive Results
Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the outburst were never meant to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.”
