Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile features clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Safety

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more comment on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some called for online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of fans had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The movie, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual adaptation of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The production itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, winning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
