The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned industry figure died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, according to.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
